Any retailer selling cigarette and tobacco product in Ohio is required to obtain Retail Cigarette Dealer License from Ohio Department of Taxation. A separate business license is applied to sell cigars and the other tobacco products, if the tobacco products are being bought from an out of state suppliers.
State and local licenses are filed to sell cigarette and tobacco products in the state of Ohio. The County Auditor's office issues the cigarette and tobacco licenses.Sales tax permit Ohio is filed with the Ohio department of taxation and finance prior to file tobacco license Ohio in order to file for the tobacco licenses.
A separate application is filed for each location to sell tobacco products and it is renewed each year.
