What is a double LLC?

  • There is no term is used "Double LLC" with the secretary of state. This term is created by professionals to hold One, LLC by another for the asset protection or for the privacy purposes, but it is a completely legal strategy to conduct business.

  • Your name and address is not going to be used for the public record.

  • You have to create two LLCs.

Disadvantage of registering double LLC?

  • You have to maintain two LLCs.

  • You have to file annual reports of the LLC.

  • You may need to file a separate tax return for both LLCs.

  • It is a complex structure to maintain.

Dear Madam/Sir, I am the director of a UK based company and would like either to create a whole new company in the US or open up a branch of the UK company in the US. Dear Sir/ Madam, I am a citizen and resident of India. I hold a passport but not any visa in US. Can I start a company in US being a non resident and non citizen of US. What are the formalities that I need to undergo for formation. Can I get a business address and bank account in the name of the company. Is single member LLC the right choice.
